An opening reception will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd from 5:30pm ’til 7:30pm on the upper floor of Rogers Free Library in Bristol, to celebrate the annual MHHS Student Art Show at the Library. The exhibit will run for the entire month of April and will showcase Drawing, Painting, Photography, Computer Graphics, and Ceramics from the high school. Next door at the Nunes Insurance Agency, student artwork from the “Stories in Clay” project will be on display in the window. Funded through a grant from the Bristol Warren Education Foundation, the “Stories in Clay” project had MHHS art students create clay characters inspired by their research into fairy tales and folk tales and the universal themes depicted by these literary genres.
Tonight’s opening reception is free and open to the public. Please join The Arts Room in supporting these young artists in our community by dropping by and taking a look at their wonderful works of art and learning. Bring the whole family and let your children be inspired by the artists, for one day they may follow in their footsteps!
